Edith Thomas Parlor

$220 per night May-Oct (2 night minimum) $200 per night (single night) Nov-Apr $190 per night (multiple nights) Nov-Apr

This is the home’s original parlor where guests were greeted. The woodwork is “grained” a process whereby several different colored paints are applied using feather combs and other tools to make a common wood like pine have the appearance of a more expensive wood. Enjoy this unique woodwork that’s also “flared” to increase the dramatic effect in the home’s most “proper” space and soak up the history from the original Victorian furniture. Portraits of many of the Thomas family members are displayed in this first-floor suite that includes a queen size bed, a private bath, an electric fireplace and your own small kitchen. A private entrance with access to a shared sunny back deck provides a front row seat to the many birds that frequent our feeders.

Rena’s Room

$210 per night May-Oct (2 night minimum) $195 per night (single night) Nov-Apr $185 per night (multiple nights) Nov-Apr

Rena Jordan Kirk moved to the Thomas Farm in 1915 at the age of seventeen. She helped care for Charlie and Edith Thomas, the oldest and youngest children born to Louise and Henry Thomas. The original brass head and foot boards for the bed as well as the Birdseye Maple dresser were purchased at an auction by Edith Thomas in the early 1900s. According to Thomas Farm history/lore the furnishings were originally a wedding set for a young couple married in the 1800s. Today, the twin brass beds have been joined to create a King Plus that’s a favorite of our frequent guests. The room’s southern exposure allows for beautiful light and a nice view of our pond and the wetlands. Rena’s room has its own private bath with a shower and a small electric fireplace for those nights when just a bit more heat is needed.

Grace’s Room

$195 per night May-Oct (2 night minimum) $190 per night (single night) Nov-Apr $180 per night (multiple nights) Nov-Apr

Grace Munch, a friend and school mate of Rena Jordan Kirk, lived in this room until she was 93 years old. It was considered the preeminent guest room of the house due to its beautiful Eastlake furniture that’s been in the house since the Thomas family’s arrival. The flowered wallpaper, high wooden headboard of the queen bed, a small electric fireplace and the Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom make this a perfect room for a romantic getaway. Grace’s room also has a twin bed in an adorable adjoining room … a special place for children of twelve years of age and older!

Due to our Farmhouse’s roofline, the private bathroom in Grace’s room cannot accommodate a stand-up shower but the in-room Jacuzzi tub has a pull out showerhead. We hope that our guests appreciate the history of the Farm and these unique aspects of our historic layout.

Charlie’s Room

$195 per night May-Oct (2 night minimum) $190 per night (single night) Nov-Apr $180 per night (multiple nights) Nov-Apr

Charlie Thomas was the oldest of the three Thomas children and went on to become a local Justice of the Peace, often performing ceremonies in the Edith Thomas parlor on the first floor. Charlie’s room features a queen bed, a small electric fireplace and a Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. Charlie’s room has a beautiful view of the sunrise over the wetlands and includes a loft with a twin bed that would be a great place for young travelers age twelve and older or those young at heart (and willing to climb!). A hand-hewn beam is prominent in the loft, a feature of the home’s post and beam construction.

Annie’s Room/Suite

$210 per night May-Oct (2 night minimum) $195 per night (single night) Nov-Apr $185 per night (multiple nights) Nov-Apr

Annie Thomas was the oldest Thomas daughter and the only one of the three children to marry. She married Charles Lounsberry and moved to Lounsberry Road (across Route 79 from Thomas Rd) where they raised seven children. In the 1800s the two rooms that comprise Annie’s Room/Suite were used to house farm hands. In its present form, Annie’s room is a two-room suite with a private bath and shower. There is a queen bed in the bedroom and a twin in the second room that also includes a table and chairs for games, enjoying your morning coffee or simply relaxing. Annie’s room provides nice views of both the pond and our stream/woodlands. This room is ideal for parties of three or guests who simply prefer some extra space. Children five and older are welcome in Annie’s room.
