Our view

Our focus at the Thomas Farm is on you, our guests. Accordingly, our desire is to minimize the number of policies, restrictions, etc. that impact your stay and enjoyment. With that said, the following policies are in place to allow our business to thrive while ensuring that you have a wonderful stay at the Thomas Farm! Please give us a call if you have any questions at all.

  • Check in is normally between 3 pm and 6 pm but we will do our best to accommodate your special request with prior coordination. We know that plans change and life happens.

  • Check out time is 11 am.

  • Children 5 years of age and older are welcome. Children 5 and up are welcome in Annie’s Room/Suite, while children 12 and older are welcome in all rooms. We leave it up to the judgement of each parent as to whether or not their child will be comfortable in a Bed & Breakfast setting.

  • Two night minimum stays are required during the months of May, June, July, August, September and October.

  • A three night minimum stay is required during the Cornell University graduation weekend. A two night minimum stay is required for Ithaca College’s graduation weekend. A two night minimum stay is required for the Cornell University and Ithaca College family weekend.

  • We provide a smoke free environment

  • No pets are allowed. We have two cats that live in our private quarters. They are not allowed in our guest rooms but they do like to nap in the sun in our living room when no guests are at the B&B.

Now for the good stuff …

  • A full gourmet breakfast is served in the dining room each day between 8 and 9:30 am. Coffee and tea is available earlier if needed to jump start your day.

  • Have a food restriction … no problem! Nancy is a vegan who occasionally “strays” to satisfy her love of chocolate chip cookies and ice cream. As such, she has some great vegan, vegetarian and gluten free recipes that are sure to please. On the other hand, Rich is a dedicated carnivore so his job is to ensure that those who choose to eat meat receive more than the palm-sized portion (Nancy’s of course) that he routinely receives!

  • Wireless internet is available for our guests. While the connection speed isn’t as fast as we’d like (we are in the country), we’ll keep you connected if your schedule demands.

  • We recently installed a solar system designed to generate enough electricity for all of our needs at the Thomas Farm. We also use a geothermal heating and cooling system and recycle and compost to the maximum extent possible.
